- Info
The Xenophilia series was created for and exhibited at Haired group show, organized by Creamhotel in Miami during Art Basel 2011 and succesfully presented at Fountain Art Fair New York 2012. The photographer presents hair as a historical vehicle for symbolic expression. Whether coded with religious, political or social status, hairstyles have existed across the earth in endless permutations. This series showcase the transcendent beauty of human craft in the service of communicating power via coiffure. Even ethically transfigured, it is through the crown of hair that these archetypes retain their majesty.
