Charis Kirchheimer

Charis Kirchheimer is a Miami-based photographer. Her trademark portraits immortalize a soft sort of darkness and desire, making her work irresistible to subjects and clients alike. She catapulted into the art world over Art Basel 2009 with an exclusive show at the Shore Club entitled "Zoophilia", and a feature in the multimedia art festival Miami's Independent Thinkers. Charis followed with a solo debut at Nomade Gallery in Coconut Grove last spring, and month-long exhibits at Wynwood's Cafeina Lounge & Gallery, where she shown a multi-dimensional installation of her Dirty Laundry series, and a group show at Butter Gallery as part of "It Click" photography exhibit. Her commercial work has been published in NBC, Ocean Drive Magazine, 944 Magazine, The Miami New Times, Live FAST Magazine, BeScene Magazine, Architectural Digest, Italian blog Camera Obscura and Missbehave Magazine. Charis is also a member of Miami's renegade creative collective the Overthrow, jostling art, sex and party all over the city with her fellow Overthrow associates.
